Cohen House

Robert and Agnes Cohen House is home to the Rice University Faculty Club. The club consists of five private dining rooms, a large main dining area, a terrace, a historical living room space, and an outside patio home to the Esther M. Cohen Memorial Garden. We offer dine-in lunch service to members only Monday - Friday. Lunch consists of a daily rotating menu, a soup du jour, build your own salad bar and a baked potato bar. Additionally, you can order cold and hot sandwiches from our A la Carte menu. The club offers a full-service coffee bar with cappuccinos, lattes, espressos and more. The Club provides meeting room spaces for Rice Departments looking to host private luncheons as well as our recently launched meeting room breakfast service. As a private or department member, you can access the club on evenings and weekends to host larger receptions. We specialize in events as small as cocktail receptions and as large as weddings or gala dinners.

Not a member? We also offer our Curbside at the Club service, which is open to all members of the Rice Community. This service brings together the delicious, award-winning culinary talent of Rice University Chefs with convenient, to-go-ready meals. With our new online ordering system, you can pre-order, pre-pay and pick up within a matter of minutes. You can also walk up and order at our convenient station.

Open Table Reservations

Starting in January 2025, the Cohen House will implement Open Table as our new reservation system. This enhancement aims to simplify the booking experience for our guests by enabling the creation of personal and departmental profiles. These profiles will facilitate the input of dietary preferences, seating choices, special requests, as well as membership numbers and departmental billing information. During the transition to this new system, the club will continue to be accessible via phone or email for assistance. All reservations made from now until December 2025 have been successfully migrated to Open Table. The new system will also provide reminder notifications via phone call or email for any existing reservations in our calendar.
